This illustrations were made for the project of Petja Janžekovič (philosopher) and Nina Jeza(art curator) the author of the book and the curator for the illustrations. The goals of this courageous project was to take the interpretations of Dante's Inferno, written by Petja Janžekovič and illustrate it. The challenging part was to invite as many artists possible for the illustrations of the cantos, and if possible from different countries as well. Even though the Inferno has 34 cantos, there are less artist involved in the project, since some of them made illustrations for more than 1 canto. The countries from which the artists originate is Slovenia, Austria, Ireland and Romania. At the end of the project it will be a printed product and also an exhibition organized in Ptuj/ Slovenia with the original works.
